School bus, truck collide at Inverleigh

Sarah LouA school bus driver and a truck driver are being treated by paramedics and the air ambulance is on scene after an empty coach collided with a b-double truck at Inverleigh.

The accident happened on the Hamilton Highway, at the intersection with Dundas Street, just after 8am on Tuesday.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene while the CFA dispatched trucks from Inverleigh, Winchelsea and Teesdale.

It's believed the bus driver is being treated for leg injuries but, thankfully, there were no children aboard the bus at the time.

The truck careened through a fence and into the front of a home,  coming to rest with its two trailers completely blocking Dundas Street.

The bus is owned by Geelong's McHarry's Buslines but it is unclear who owns the truck.
