Post office for Armstrong Creek

Armstrong Creek residents will find it easier to post a parcel or letter close to home, with a post office announced for the growing area.

A community campaign to bring the facility to the suburb attracted a petition with more than 1,700 signatures.

Member for Corangamite Libby Coker thanked Australia Post for listening to the residents.

"The community and I are thrilled Australia Post listened to us and they're going to open up a post office in the booming suburb," she said.

"No longer will the residents of Armstrong Creek be forced to wait in long lines at Grovedale and Waurn Ponds to collect their mail."

It will be located in the Armstrong Creek Town Centre will be open in July.
