Good and bad news for the Cats

Cats midfielder Mitch Duncan is reportedly in doubt for Geelong's season-opener after back-to-back calf setbacks this summer.

In good news, however, Jeremy Cameron has overcome a minor hamstring injury as preparation for round one heats up.

He has told radio station SEN he is now back in training after spending some time off over Christmas because of the strain.

Meantime Joel Selwood has no plans to retire at the end of the year.

The 32 year-old's current contract finishes at the end of the season but he said he is in no hurry to sign a new deal.
