The Western Bulldogs have notched up consecutive AFLW victories - the first time since 2019 - scraping through in a close encounter with Geelong.

In a low scoring battle at Kardinia Park, Bulldogs skipper Ellie Blackburn shone through to ensure the Bulldogs were victors by 15.

Last week Blackburn produced one of the greatest individual quarters in AFLW history to single handedly guide the 'dogs over the line against the Blues.

This time she produced another consistent performance picking up consecutive best-on-grounds.

The 25-year-old finished with 25 possessions and laid 9 tackles as the team moved to a 2-1 record and into finals chances

Despite leading most of the game, the Bulldogs led by just one point going into the final quarter, but two outstanding goals to Jess Fitzgerald and Kristen McLeod on the run locked away the win for the 'dogs.

Also of note Isabella Grant debuted off the bench, the daughter of Bulldogs legend Chris Grant.

Geelong have scored four goals across three games, and it was the last game for fans in Victoria ahead of the lockdown, 1124 were in attendance
